From the lush cotton fields in New Mexico, growing the true shade of indigo (that’s right, it’s called ”Shade55”), to the original denim mill in North Carolina, to the master sewers and wash technicians in Los Angeles, Shade55 is committed to keeping all production and operations in the USA, supporting our country and heritage.

Designer and founder, Paul Hagopian, wanted to create a brand focused on the needs of today’s man. After helping to successfully launch some of the largest brands in the denim business, he realized that brands had lost touch with their roots and showed no commitment to making a great pair of jeans for the men’s market. After traveling the world, and watching denim being produced everywhere but the USA, it made sense to him to give back to his country and show the world that the best products are still ”Made in the USA!”

Paul is showing that all manufacturing and production can be kept 100% in the United States, and still offer the affordability, durability, and quality one would expect from a premium denim line. By never out-sourcing or substituting, Hagopian is able to stay hands-on throughout the entire creative, development and production processes. Also, by focusing solely on making great products for men, Hagopian strives to bring out the best the USA has to offer, season after season after season.
